Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has laughed off talk of a January move for Luka Modric.

The Real Madrid midfielder is being linked with City, but Guardiola branded the claims "fantasy football".

"It's called fantasy football," he smiled.

"You talk about a player for the start of next year, but the market is currently closed."

Modric also remains a target for Inter Milan ahead of the winter market.
