Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is a fan of Fiorentina attacker Federico Chiesa.

The youngster has only just signed a new deal with the Viola, but Calciomercato.com says Guardiola remains keen.

The City manager has recommended club chiefs Ferran Soriano and Txiki Begiristain take a closer look at Chiesa in the coming weeks.

Scouts have been dispatched to Florence to gather information on the young attacker, who is the son of Fiorentina icon Enrico Chiesa.

No contact with Fiorentina nor Chiesa's camp has been established, but City are taking a closer look at the forward on Guardiola's recommendation.
