Guardiola defends Hazard over sluggish Real Madrid start

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has defended Eden Hazard's impact at Real Madrid.

The Belgian moved from Chelsea to Real Madrid last summer, but he has yet to impress with his performances, while he has also struggled with injuries since his arrival.

"If Hazard is not playing well, something happens at Real Madrid," he said in an interview for Post United.

"He is more than top.

"We saw these years in England that he is a world-class player.

"Everyone needs a period of adaption."
