Guardiola confirms Man City striker Jesus to miss 'four to six weeks'

Pep Guardiola has confirmed that Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus is experiencing a long layoff following an injury in City's previous game in the Premier League.

Jesus suffered the injury to his ankle ligaments during the 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace at the weekend, and will now be out for the rest of the festive period.

The good news for City is that he should be back before the Champions League gets back underway, and the club does have Sergio Aguero to play up front in Jesus' absence.

"He will be out for between four to six weeks, or a little bit longer, but hopefully as soon as possible," said Guardiola.

Jesus has eight goals and two assists in the Premier League in 12 starts and 6 sub appearances.
