Gspurning set for Seattle Sounders return

Seattle Sounders are preparing to welcome back goalkeeper Michael Gspurning into the line-up.

The 31-year old Austrian, who has made just seven appearances this season, has been sidelined since May 2 with injury but is likely to be thrown back into proceedings when the Sounders take on the Colorado Rapids on the weekend.

"We're hoping this is the weekend for him to come back," Schmid said. "He's gone through the weeks of training and the build-up.

"This is the game we've targeted. He's ready and we'll look at it and make sure there's no setbacks between now and then. We'll have some good decisions to make."
