Groves: Man City target Grealish has outgrown Aston Villa

Arsenal title winner Perry Groves believes Jack Grealish has outgrown Aston Villa.

Manchester City have offered £100m for the midfielder.

Groves told The Sun: “When you are a player I always think you should try and play at the highest level you can possibly play at where you talent allows you to play.

“He has outgrown Aston Villa. Jack Grealish has outgrown them, he has got them promotion from the Championship, when they struggled in the first season, he was their talisman, they stayed up.

“He cemented their place last season in the Premier League.

“I think he signed a new long term contract so he knew Aston Villa would get the right sort of money for him.

“As long as that hundred million quid if they get it they give it to Dean Smith and they go and reinvest it in the team.

“I think Aston Villa fans would get it. I don't think there would be any animosity towards Jack Grealish because he is going to one of the best teams in Europe.

“So you should always try to be the best that you can be."
