Group who racially abused Tottenham star Son receive 'community resolutions'

A group of 12 men who were accused of racially abusing Tottenham star Son Heung-min on Twitter have been given 'community resolutions'.

The abuse occurred after Spurs lost 3-1 to Manchester United in April.

After the Metropolitan Police launched several raids, 12 men between the ages of 20 and 63 were detained.

The men in question have also written apology letters to Son as part of the judgment.

A spokesperson for the force told Sky Sports News on Monday: "A group of 12 men who were arrested, or interviewed under caution, under suspicion of using words or behaviour, or displaying written material with intent to stir up racial hatred, as part of a Met investigation into online racist abuse directed at a high profile London footballer, have been given community resolutions.

"All 12 men have written letters of apology to the victim."
