Grimsby boss Neil Woods expects big things from new loan signing Nicky Featherstone, the Hull City midfielder.

Featherstone signed with Grimsby yesterday.

"Nicky is a quality player who can operate in a variety of positions - on the right, in central midfield or just behind the striker," Wood told thisisgrimsby.co.uk.

"He's a top player and the fact he has been pushing the first-team at Hull proves that.

"He just needs games and is desperate to start playing so we have got a great signing there.

"I have known about him since he was 13 or 14 coming through at Hull and has always impressed me."
