Gremio chief Zanotta confirms Arthur on way to Barcelona

Barcelona are wrapping up the signing of Gremio midfielder Arthur Melo today.

Gremio has admitted that an agreement has been reached between the two clubs but there will be one last meeting on Saturday to close the deal.

Gremio chief executive Andre Zanotta confirmed that a deal is now all but wrapped up.

"Gremio and Barcelona are finalising the sale of Arthur, only some small details are missing but it will be completed on Saturday," he said.

His status as a non-EU player means that a change is now required within the team. It could likely result in either Yerry Mina or Paulinho departing earlier than expected to make room for Arthur.

"Arthur will travel to Barcelona this weekend. He's here today in order to say his goodbyes to Gremio," added Zanotta.
