Grella targets Blackburn return

Vince Grella hopes to make his Blackburn Rovers return today against Stoke City. The injury-plagued Australia international came through ninety minutes unscathed for the Reserves on Tuesday night and told Rovers World: "It has been one of those seasons where every time I seem to get started I'm having to start all over again.

"But I'm feeling good, I'm positive and hopefully I'll be ready for the game against Stoke and be up for selection and give the manager another option.

"I'm looking forward to it and I hope to put my hand up when called upon."

Grella added: "Things happen in football and it is part of the profession. I think in pre-season I need to sort that physical problem out, but I still have six games where I want to give my contribution, whether it is big or small, to Blackburn.

"I always have a small debt to repay and I think in these games I will still show what I am about."
