Vince Grella is expected to remain a Blackburn Rovers player if manager Sam Allardyce's comments are anything to go by. The 30-year old Australian international has been recently heavily linked with a move to Turkish club Galatasaray where he would join Socceroos teammates Harry Kewell and Lucas Neill but Allardyce says nothing will come of that speculation and the defensive midfielder will remain at Ewood Park.
"Vince did as well, which is very good for us in the build-up to the season. There are only two weeks to go now, so there is not a lot of time left," Allardyce said after the Festival of Football in Sydney on Saturday.
"There has been no contact from Galatasaray at all. Vince is still one of our players and we are glad to see him get 60 minutes in today."
