Avram Grant is unsure about taking the manager's role at Portsmouth because of the financial position of the struggling club.
The Israeli was offered the role 24 hours after Paul Hart was sacked and did not know about any decision regarding the former boss despite the fact he is director of football at Pompey.
Grant was away in Germany when the decision was made to axe Hart and the fact he is still awaiting a work permit to take up his initial role as director of football is making him wary of the new job offer.
Grant is also wondering if he will be able to do the job properly with the limited resources he may have at his disposal and is seeking assurances that he will have enough money to act in the January transfer market.
