Avram Grant may seek a clean break from Chelsea if he is relieved of coaching duties at the end of the season, it has been revealed.
The News of the World says Grant will seek a meeting with Blues owner Roman Abramovich to discuss his future following the Champions League semi-final first leg with Liverpool at Anfield on Tuesday.
The Israeli, who signed a £2.5million-a-year deal after taking over from Jose Mourinho in September, is likely to try and negotiate a £5m pay-off rather than stay at Chelsea in a backroom capacity.
