Granada winger Kenedy insists no regrets signing for Chelsea; proud of Newcastle loan

Granada winger Kenedy insists he has no regrets signing for parent club Chelsea.

Kenedy is currently on-loan with Granada for the season, where he has enjoyed a superb campaign. The Brazilian has become a first-choice for Granada coach Diego Martinez and has been key in their run to the Copa del Rey semi-finals and next month's Europa League quarter-final against Manchester United.

Asked about initially moving to Chelsea, Kenedy insists he remains happy with his choice.

He told Granada's website via AS: "It was very good. There were many Brazilians there and that helped me a lot. There were David Luiz, Diego Costa, Oscar, Piazón ... one felt more at home."

Before Granada, Kenedy had a loan spell with Newcastle United and again he insists he enjoyed his time on Tyneside, treasuring the regular football he enjoyed before leaving for Granada last year.

He stated: "Another great experience. I had a more sequence of matches and enjoyed it a little more. Spain and Brazil are different leagues than England, which has faster football. Here it is more in the mind, to think."

This season with Granada, by his own admission, Kenedy is enjoying career best form in a deal which runs to the end of this campaign.

“I am living my best moment here at Granada. I am very happy and very happy with the season and with my best version. I am very well and happy with the whole group that is helping me a lot."

And on a Europa League quarter-final with Manchester United, he added, "How can I explain it? It will be a very good game. A different and unique match."
