Grammy Sport wins broadcasting rights for J-League

Thai broadcaster GMM Grammy Sport has signed a five-year deal to broadcast Japan's J-League in Thailand, reports SportsPro. Satellite broadcaster Grammy recently won the Thai rights to Uefa Euro 2012 and the Bundesliga.

Grammy chairman Paiboon Damrongchaitham said that the J-League rights had been acquired because "it's Asia's number one league and is more exciting than some European leagues."

Damrongchaitham recently disclosed that Grammy is in the process of launching a joint bid with other Thai broadcasters for the English Premier League broadcast rights for the 2013 to 2016 period.
