Gracia demands ruthlessness from Watford

Javi Gracia wants a ruthless performance from his Watford side against Manchester City.

The Hornets are hosting the reigning champions in a key game tonight.

Gracia is unhappy at how many chances his side has spurned in recent games.

The head coach said to the Watford Observer: "It would be the best time to take our chances. For me it's important to keep the amount of chances we're creating against one of the best teams. It would be a good sign for us.

"To get something positive I'm sure we need to be much more effective than in the last games. We need to have two chances and score two goals. We need to dominate set pieces, defend well and attack well.

"In the last game we had 56 per cent possession, we had nine shots but none on target. We had more shots than them, more possession, more corner kicks and more attacks.

"These are good stats but it wasn't enough. Playing against City maybe we won't have more possession and shots than them but we need to be more effective."
