Javi Gracia believes that support and not anger is what his Watford players need from him.

The Hornets are in the middle of a disappointing slump, which sees them in the Premier League relegation zone.

They have not picked up a single point in the first three games of the season.

But Gracia is not laying into his players, as he does not want to make morale even worse.

"I can be angry," said Gracia to reporters.

"I prefer it when we win or we're in good moments because I think it's the moment when the players need it.

"Now they need support, they need comprehension, they need to be close, being demanding for sure because we need to improve many things and we need to do it.

"For the confidence, to show our possibility, real possibilities, I think in this moment they need more of my support and I will try to do better next time."
