Everton are firming as favourites to land PSG captain Thiago Silva this summer.
Off contract at the end of the month, the veteran defender is yet to agree new terms with PSG and is fielding interest from across Europe.
A return to AC Milan has been mooted for the 35 year-old, though interest from Everton has turned his head.
The chance to work with former PSG coach Carlo Ancelotti at Goodison Park is attractive to Thiago Silva, who has made no secret his admiration for the Italian.
Silva has said of the Toffees manager: “I have worked with a lot of coaches ... But I particularly remember one: coach Ancelotti. Because my arrival in Europe was very difficult. When I arrived in Milan, I stayed six months without playing. But during these six months, I was trained by a great coach: Carlo Ancelotti. I insist, these six months changed my whole life."
