MLS side Columbus Crew have confirmed the exit of defender Giancarlo Gonzalez.
The 26-year old Costa Rica international has joined Italian Serie A club Palermo, reportedly on a four-year contract.
Gonzalez, who impressed for Los Ticos at the 2014 FIFA World Cup, leaves Columbus after joining the Ohio outfit from Norwegian club Valerenga in February He played 17 times for the Crew.
