West Ham co-chairman David Gold has welcomed their deal for Inter Milan midfielder Joao Mario.

Mario has joined the Irons to the end of the season.

The Portuguese star has been greeted by the club's chairman Gold.

"I can confirm that Joao Mario will join West Ham United from Inter Milan for the rest of the season," said Gold.

"Joao is a 25-year-old attacking midfielder, capped 31 times by Portugal and a Euro 2016 winner. He travels with the team tonight. Good luck Joao."
