West Ham United chief David Gold has hinted they'll seek a permanent deal for on-loan Arsenal defender Carl Jenkinson.

The right-back is spending the season on loan at Upton Park and has made 24 appearances under Sam Allardyce this term.

The Hammers are due to play Arsenal at Emirates Stadium on Saturday and asked if Jenkinson will be eligible to feature against his parent club, Gold told a fan on social media: "He will not play against Arsenal. This year."
