GOLD CUP WRAP - Day 8: Guatemala and Honduras join Jamaica in the knockout stage

Group B of the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup has now been completed with both Jamaica and Honduras, plus Guatemala, moving through to the quarter-finals.

Yesterday saw a double header at Red Bull Arena in New Jersey with Guatemala qualifying for the knockout stage with a 4-0 victory over Grenada.

Guatemala moved to third, equal points with Honduras, thanks to goals from Jose Del Aguila, Marco Pappa, Carlos Ruiz and Carlos Gallardo to make them the best third-placed team in the tournament ahead of Tuesday's final Group C matches.

With the two best-placed third teams progressing to the quarters, Guatemala are now into the next phase with either Canada, El Salvador or the USA to take up the other position.

In Group B's other match, Ryan Johnson scored the only goal of Jamaica's 1-0 win over Honduras to give the Reggae Boyz a perfect record in the group stage, setting them up with a clash with the runners-up of Group C.

Honduras have their quarter-final match-up set with a meeting with Costa Rica at New Meadowlands Stadium in East Rutherford on Saturday.

The final group matches will be played Tuesday between Canada and Panama and Guadeloupe and the USA.
