Gold Coast youngster Matt Pike is confident of winning a pro deal with West Brom. Pike is back in Australia for his close-season break and has just completed a three-year full-time scholarship with English club West Brom.

He has been back on the Coast holidaying with parents Bob and Susan before taking part in a series of trials.

"I am confident I will get picked up," he told the Gold Coast Bulletin.

"I am committed, have worked hard, so hopefully things will work out."
