Gold Coast United coach Miron Bleiberg accepts he may face a battle to keep hold of striker Shane Smeltz this month. With the winter market now open, the A-League's top scorer is being linked with a move to Europe.

European clubs are circling and Bleiberg told the Australian: "I don't speculate on rumours.

"You can speculate all you like, until there is a firm offer on the table Smeltz is not for sale.

"He has been in terrific form in the last few games for us."
