Gold Coast United coach Miron Bleiberg believes he has been blessed by having former Central Coast Mariners midfielder Matthew Osman in his squad.

Bleiberg has learned that Osman is a very versatile player and is excited about using him in the upcoming A-League season.

"He is renowned in the industry as someone with good character and a good work ethic," said Bleiberg.

"His second attribute is he can almost play in any position on the field except goalkeeper, which from my point of view is heaven. He has been in the A-League since day one, so he has a lot of experience for a young age."
