Goian and Bocanegra set to depart Rangers

Two of Rangers' international players are looking to leave the club this summer.

Romanian centre-back Dorin Goian and former USA captain Carlos Bocanegra are expected to quit the club permanently as they seek opportunities elsewhere.

"I know that (head of football) Andrew Dickson and (chief executive) Craig Mather are in discussion with the agents of Dorin Goian and Carlos Bocanegra and hopefully we will have news on that in the next few days," said manager Ally McCoist.

"I would imagine there would be activity between now and the start of the season in terms of players departing whether on loan or permanently because that is the way of things at any football club."

Goian, who joined 'Gers from Palermo in 2011, spent last season on loan with Italian Serie B side Spezia whilst former Fulham, Rennes and Saint-Etienne star Bocanegra had an injury-plagued spell with Spain's Racing Santander.
