Alexander Isak admitted mixed emotions after making his Newcastle United debut in defeat at Liverpool last night.
The Swede only knew he would be able to play an hour before kickoff as his work permit came through.
Isak would score on debut, but end up on the losing side as the Reds triumphed 2-1 with a 98th minute winner via Fabio Carvalho.
"I was hoping for a dream debut," he later said.
"It's been a couple of busy days but I'm happy that I got my first minutes in the Premier League.
"You can see from the team that we are very disappointed with the result. But it's another game this weekend and I think we can use this feeling as energy for our next game."
