Aston Villa striker Darren Bent has not found it any easier to score this season despite an increase in goals in the Premier League.
39 goals were score in 10 matches on the weekend and there have been some massive scorelines in the early stages of this season but Bent still feels that opposition defences are just as tough to unlock as they have ever been.
"It hasn't seemed that way - it has been as difficult as ever trying to break teams down," he told Sky Sports News.
"Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but being on the pitch and playing against defences, I don't see it being any different than it has been for a few years now."
Bent added: "Everyone in today's game is getting quicker and quicker, now that I agree with.
"But at the same time, all you can do is work at your own football club and on your own offside traps and defensive work and see how you get on on Saturday."
