Goal celebration of Everton defender Coleman all for new daughter

Everton defender Seamus Coleman has revealed that his celebration against Stoke City was dedicated to his new born daughter.

Coleman found the back of the net in the 3-0 victory over Stoke on Saturday with a fantastic header and the defender celebrated the goal with an equally impressive gesture.

Now Coleman has revealed that his celebration against Stoke was dedicated to his newborn daughter and the right-back was delighted to cap off a memorable week in fine fashion following a couple of sleepless nights.

The Irishman said: "It was Thursday night-Friday morning when Rachel started, but it was Friday afternoon when the baby came. There were a couple of sleepless nights.

"My celebration was all about Lilly and I was also delighted because it was my first goal of the season. I'm glad to get off the mark to be honest. I've been a goalscoring full-back and I've had a few chances - the Swansea miss was a bit of a freak thing.

"It's probably not the goal we would expect me to score, getting up for a corner, but I'm just glad to get off the mark and hopefully that can kick things off.

"I don't mind more sleepless nights. I had to leave early to get here and I'm looking forward to getting back to spend some time with them. We won't be having separate rooms. No chance! All in!"
