Manchester City failed with a move for Borussia Monchengladbach prospect Mickael Cuisance over the summer.

BILD says City and Gladbach both made offers for the former Nancy youngster, but Cuisance chose the Germans.

Gladbach coughed up just €250,000 to sign Cuisance.

"He's an absolutely brilliant footballer," says Gladbach chief Max Eberl.

Just 18, Cuisance is shining in his first season in the Bundesliga.
