Borussia Monchengladbach defender Matthias Ginter is tightlipped about Bosman interest from Aston Villa.

He has quizzed directly about the Villa links and while he would not discuss Gerrard's side in particular he did confirm that talks had been held about his future.

"I would like to hold back on specific clubs or domestic and foreign issues for the time being," he told Sport1.

"But of course, you talk to different people and you have a few things that are important to you. Then you will see everything else."

Ginter did say that he will not be long in making his decision, though, with the situation out of Gladbach's hands because he is a free agent.

"At the moment, I talk a lot with my family and with other people I trust," he added.

"It's difficult to come up with a timeline, but I don't think it will be too long before there's anything to announce."
