Gladbach decision leaves West Ham youngster Oxford frustrated

Borussia Monchengladbach are sending Reece Oxford back to West Ham.

The Sun says Oxford is “massively disappointed" his loan move to Borussia Monchengladbach has been cut short.

The 18-year-old made the switch to the Bundesliga to gain more first–team experience.

However, the talented teenager who can operate in defence or midfield has failed to make an appearance for Monchengladbach, and has not even seen any action coming on from the bench.

Sources close to the player revealed: “Reece hoped the move to Germany would work out better than it has, but it's time to come back.

“Monchengladbach play a certain way and had a system in place before they signed Reece, and for some reason he has not fitted into what they are doing.

“If he's not going to feature after they were hammered 6-1, then when will he?"
