Borussia Monchengladbach sporting director Max Eberl reckons that the Bundesliga club have signed one of the best young English talents in West Ham's Recce Oxford.

The 18-year-old defender joined Borussia on a season-long loan deal on Wednesday.

"Reece Oxford has played for England at youth level and is considered one of the country's best young defensive talents," Eberl told the club's website.

"This loan deal gives us the chance to add a very interesting player to our squad.

"On top of that, we've had good experience with signing young Premier League players in the recent past."
