Borussia Monchengladbach chief Max Eberl remains upbeat over the return of Reece Oxford.
Eberl admits Gladbach has been in regular contact with West Ham this month about bringing Oxford back to the club after he was recalled to London before Christmas.
Oxford had been on a season-long loan, but the Hammers cut it short.
Eberl revealed yesterday: "It is not clear that we will still get an outside reinforcement. With Reece, who was already with us, it looks very good that we can borrow him again."
For his part, Oxford has told West Ham he wishes to return to Gladbach before the winter market shuts.
