Olivier Giroud was delighted to prove AC Milan's matchwinner at Napoli on Sunday.
Giroud stuck out a foot to redirect a wayward Davide Calabria effort for the only goal of the game.
“These are three very important points because it was a game against a rival for the Scudetto," Giroud told DAZN.
“It was not decisive, but still important to get the win. We started very well with a lot of energy and motivation, with the determination to play our football. We were concentrated to the end, so it was a deserved victory.
“I try to be in the right place at the right time! We could've done better on the counter-attack, especially with the final ball, but we did well in defence and everyone worked really hard.
“Of course, that's why we are here. There are three points separating three teams. I don't want to talk about the Scudetto specifically, but I hope to win something this year, as we're also in the Coppa Italia semi-final. We are ambitious and will keep going."
