Olivier Giroud was delighted for Chelsea teammate Kepa Arrizabalaga after the Spaniard kept a clean sheet against Newcastle United on Tuesday.
The 26-year-old is doing his best to impress Thomas Tuchel, despite the German insisting that Edouard Mendy remains his number one choice when speaking after the win over Toon.
Nonetheless, Giroud has been impressed with Kepa's dedication in training despite not playing regularly.
"I'm happy for him," Giroud told the club's website. "He's stayed focused on his job and committed to what he has to do.
"Every day at training he is working hard to be ready when the manager will ask him to play and he played very well I think, like the team."
