Girona matchwinner Portu defended Marcelo after victory at Real Madrid.

Portu headed home the winner for the 2-1 triumph at Real on Sunday in a performance where he dominated Marcelo.

But the forward insisted: "He's a great player, he's famous in the world of football.

"You try to give the best when you face players like that.

"I see Marcelo the same, he has the ability of always attacking and he has played a good game."
