Girona coach Eusebio Sacristan says victory at Real Madrid was well deserved.

Girona won 2-1 in Madrid on Sunday.

"It's really important for us to win at the Bernabeu - for our fans, for our team," said Girona coach Eusebio.

"Maybe they were thinking they would get a second goal, but we were slowly getting back into it and getting more confident. At the end of the game it is a fair result.

"We had not won for a few games and had a tough few weeks. But we showed our attitude, and what better ground to do it in.

On Portu getting at Marcelo, the coach explained his tactics.

"Marcelo is a legend in football," said Eusebio. "Whoever plays at full-back for Madrid, they always attack a lot so when you get the ball you try to attack the space behind them."
