The girlfriend of Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea has accepted a tour of Manchester after slating the city last week.

A local government official extended the unlikely offer to stunning Edurne Garcia after she appeared to slate the city, branding it 'uglier than a fridge from behind' in a TV interview. Now though the singer has hit back to deny she made the comments, report the Manchester Evening News.

And she said she would love to see more 'corners' of Manchester with 'the councilman' Pat Karney.

She said: "I love it and the city has wonderful corners. There's a councilman who wants to show me the city and I am delighted to know more wonderful corners in Manchester."
