Giovani Lo Celso delighted with his Spurs debut

Giovani Lo Celso was delighted with his debut for Tottenham in their draw at Manchester City.

A deadline day loan signing from Real Betis, the Argentine international replaced fellow countryman Erik Lamela in attacking midfield five minutes from the end of normal time in what was a stern test at the Etihad.

“It feels very good to have my first game with the Club and I want to say thank you to the fans and the team for welcoming me and congratulations on the game – we got a good point away from home against a very good team," he told the Spurs website.

“The people who come away to support the team like they did today, it was incredible to feel this and I have to say thanks to all the people who came here to get behind us. It was important for me and for the team collectively.

“It was very positive for me to play my first game against a very good team like Manchester City in a tough game – we played well and it was a good experience for me."
