Gini Wijnaldum is calm over his contract situation at Liverpool.

Wijnaldum should be the next in line for a new contract with Liverpool having secured the long-term futures of Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah, Jordan Henderson, Sadio Mane, Joe Gomez, Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold over the past 12 months.

“No, I did not speak with the club yet," Wijnaldum revealed, having arrived in 2016.

“That is something for the club. I will see what happens.

“I signed a five-year contract and I am still under contract. I just do my job to perform. A new contract has to come from the club."
