Ryan Giggs has admitted concern with Manchester United's sluggish start to the season.
United host Liverpool on Sunday and already trail league leaders Chelsea by four points thanks to clumsy defending and poor finishing.
They also failed to break down Rangers in Tuesday's Euro clash.
Giggs said: "When people defend in numbers we usually find a way round them and that's what was disappointing against Rangers.
"We were also sloppy away to Everton and Fulham.
"Over the last few years you have needed a strong start in the league and mustn't drop too many points early on. We're wary of that."
