Wales coach Ryan Giggs was impressed by Manchester United's victory over Manchester City on Sunday.

United legend Giggs praised new arrivals Bruno Fernandes and Odion Ighalo for playing pivotal roles in Man Utd's 10-game unbeaten run, along with the returning Scott McTominay.

Giggs told Premier League productions: "I think Everton first half last week was a really good performance especially going behind so early.

"I saw some really good signs there and you could see signs of progression.

"Players coming back like McTominay, who was really good at the start of the season. Ighalo has come in and scored goals and obviously Fernandes, he is making players around him play so much better and he's given everyone a lift."
