Giggs sounds out ex-Man Utd coach Stuivenberg about Wales role

Wales boss Ryan Giggs has approached former Manchester United assistant coach Albert Stuivenberg about joining his staff.

The Daily Mail says Giggs, who was Louis van Gaal's assistant at Old Trafford alongside Stuivenberg between 2014-16, is going through the process of assembling his backroom team and wants people he can rely on.

Stuivenberg, 47, is out of work after being sacked in December as manager of Belgian First Division club Genk.

Paul Scholes and Mike Phelan are under consideration, while Mikel Arteta, currently assistant to Pep Guardiola, has also been linked.

The future of Osian Roberts, assistant to Chris Coleman, has yet to be decided.
