Giggs insists Man Utd 'still five signings short'

Wales coach Ryan Giggs believes Manchester United are still five signings away from being a challenger.

United will be looking to maintain their fine form if football returns next month, and Giggs believes the foundations are in place for something special under his good friend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

“It was a shame we had to pause the season because we were flying," Giggs told the club's official website.

“Ole started his management with United flying, then had a tough spell, and then we were on a good run. But, like I said earlier, the players he's got in have been really impressive...

“I still think we need four or five players but we're definitely going in the right direction."
