Giggs and Scholes to take on Ronaldinho and Vieira in Beckham charity match

The preliminary teams for David Beckham's charity match have been released.


The former Manchester United star will host an exhibition game, entitled the 'Match for Children', for UNICEF at Old Trafford on November 14.

A Great Britain and Ireland XI, which will be managed by Sir Alex Ferguson and captained by Beckham, features a host of United legends including Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Andy Cole and Rio Ferdinand.

The Rest of the World side, coached by Carlo Ancelotti and skippered by Zinedine Zidane, houses such famous names as Ronaldinho, Edwin van der Sar, Patrick Vieira, Patrick Kluivert and Cafu.

More players are still to be confirmed for the match which will raise money UNICEF's work which helps 'provide lifesaving care including protection, health and nutrition for some of the world's most vulnerable children'.
