Gladbach coach Marco Rose: Man City attacking was incessant

Borussia Monchengladbach coach Marco Rose admits Manchester City were simply too good for their victory last night.

City were comfortable 2-0 winners for the first-leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie.

Rose conceded: “Today we faced very serious resistance - we had to fight.

"It is very difficult to stop an opponent in such shape, especially since in the first half we had great difficulty approaching their penalty area.

"We defended relatively well, but it is so difficult to fight off incessant attacks."
