Getafe are wrapping up the signing of Barcelona attacker Jose Arnaiz.

Arnaiz will play next season on-loan with Getafe following Barca B's relegation to Segunda B last term.

Getafe president Angel Torres said: "We just closed the transfer of Arnaiz from Barca."

The deal was closed thanks to the presence of former Getafe sports chief Ramon Planes, who left last week to work as Eric Abidal's assistant with Barca.

Indeed, it's suggested Arnaiz's arrival was part of the agreement which saw Torres release Planes from his contract.
