Getafe president Angel Torres admits they're close to signing Real Madrid midfielder Takefusa Kubo.

The Japan international is set to cut short his loan with Villarreal and due to return to Madrid with Getafe.

Torres said, "We have asked Real Madrid (for Kubo).

"If they fix it he will come and if we don't we will go with what we have. I think there is no problem, none.

"If it is fixed, which is three-way, the boy will come.

"There are bureaucratic procedures, it is a three-way issue and you have to take it three-way. I think he will come. The kid is very young, he wants to play and we will wait a few days."
