Getafe defender Djene Dakonam is interesting Leicester City.

Djene was one of Getafe's standout performers last year as they defied the odds and secured an automatic Europa League finish, only missing out on the Champions League on the last matchday of the season, and that led to many Premier League sides enquiring about the Togolese defender throughout the campaign.

Getafe president Angel Torres remained firm, though; either teams paid Djene's 35 million euro release clause or they would not be able to sign him.

Marca says Leicester were one of the teams who got in contact with Getafe, and given the 90 million euros they are expected to receive for the sale of Harry Maguire to Manchester United, they now have the funds available to pay Djene's release clause.
